He has also performed at Merkin Concert Hall and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. Garcia-DLeon holds a master’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music, and graduated with honors from Brooklyn College with a double major in music and pure mathematics.

JORGE GARCIA-DLEON became at the age of 18 the youngest member of the National Symphony Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, his native land. He has performed as soloist with the Rochester Youth Orchestra, La Filarmonica del Cibao in the Dominican Republic, and the Chamber Orchestra of Cauca in Colombia. As First Prize winner of the Music and More competition, he appeared in several radio stations including WQXR 105.9 FM, the classical music station of New York City. Garcia-DLeon has appeared in solo and chamber music recitals in the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Puerto Rico.
